"Reconnecting"

Poltester resin over steel armature 10 feet tall

This piece was custon designed as an artistic impression of L'Auberge De Sedona, after a tour  through the  landscaped paths, rustic cabins, elaborate accomidations and overwhelming natural beauty of this creekside resort in Sedona. Joe Mottershead, general manager described the resort as a place where people escape their work and reconnect with their spouse or their peace of mind pampered in a peacefull setting filled with natural beauty.

“Shadow”
10 feet tall, polyester resin, steel armature
Shadow is a large human form frozen in a dance forever like a happy memory. She is dark colored to signify the aspect of a shadow, and the human form is slightly abstracted like the distortion of a shadow falling on an uneven surface.

“Willow”
8 feet tall, high-fired ceramic stoneware
Willow's purpose is to illustrate man's organic connection to the earth. She was made tall and slender, growing from the earth like a tree. Gentle and silent, she observes all from a tree's point of view.
