I was really excited about this project. The ink drawing depicts a beautifully curated home in Sebastopol, California. This home resides right down the street from another home I had drawn a couple months back. Both commissioned by my good friend, Jon.
I focused on the heavy shadow hiding under the wrap-around porch, and letting the light naturally hit the roof and some of the drive way. The big tree in the middle of the driveway cast a really strong shadow that created nice depth to the drawing. To cap it all off, the red truck had a lot of meaning to the family. It was a must. Due to my "Summers in Sonoma County" drawing, it wasn't my first time drawing a truck!
I enjoyed every moment. This drawing took 50 hours to ink and measures 14" x 10
